
R. Paul Rozecki, Jr.
Director of Bands
R. Paul Rozecki is in his 7th year of teaching and 2011-2012 marks his 4th year at Atlee High School. A native of Gloucester, Virginia Mr. Rozecki graduated from Gloucester High School and attended James Madison University. Mr. Rozecki earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education with a Minor in Jazz Studies.
Upon graduation from JMU, Mr. Rozecki accepted the band director position at Varina High School in Henrico County. After 3 successful years at Varina, Mr. Rozecki took the job at Atlee High School. Bands under his direction have earned numerous superior and excellent ratings. In addition, the Atlee Band Program has been designated a Virginia Honor Band.
Mr. Rozecki holds membership in the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association, Virginia Music Educators Association and serves as the District Representative for District I.
Mr. Rozecki and his wife Lori are proud Hanover County citizens and reside in Mechanicsville. They have a beautiful son, Mason. In his free time Mr. Rozecki enjoys playing softball and playing saxophone for the Commonwealth Winds, a group consisting of professional musicians in the Greater Richmond Area. He is a member of The Remnants, a rock and soul band that performs for various events throughout the state.
