Atlee Band Family,

I hope everyone is well and ready to enjoy Spring Break!  We are less than two weeks out from our Spring Trip and it should be an exciting time for all the students.  

Spring Trip

We are still missing final trip payments and paperwork. The following paperwork items are due:

1.    Notarized, complete, and signed medical form
2.    HCPS Field Trip Permission Form
3.    Copy of photo ID
4.    Copy of Insurance Card (Front and Back)
5.    Signed Trip Rules and Regulations Form

If you have not made your final payment, please do so ASAP. All payments must be received before departing on the trip. Please see me if you need to know your final amount.

Below is a list of students who are missing at least one (1) item in their paperwork. (Names not here, they are in email) Please see me to get it completed. No student can go on the trip until all forms are signed.

Spring Trip Rehearsals/Baggage Check/Departure

Monday April 16-Marching Band and Guard 4:00-5:30pm Outside Parade Rehearsal

Tuesday April 17-Concert Band (Band Room), Guard (Commons) 4:00-5:30pm

Wednesday April 18-Baggage Check (Band Room) 5:00-6:00pm.  Please bring medications that will need to be administered to your child at this time.  We will have a table to check in medications.  All medications must be administered by a chaperone students are not permitted to carry any medications with them.

Thursday April 19-Departure 5:00am. (Approximate and is subject to adjustment)

A final itinerary will be emailed next week as well as posted on our Website.

Outside Activity Opportunities (4th Marking Period)

The All-Virginia Band will be performing a concert at James River HS on Saturday April 14 at 1:30pm.  It is FREE and two of our own students will be performing; Will Ford and Taylor Meador!  You don’t want to miss this!

The Airmen of Note, considered my many (including myself) as the top performing service jazz ensemble in the world will be performing a concert at Godwin HS on Wednesday April 11 at 7:00pm.  Tickets are free but you will need to contact Mr. Leon Auman at Godwin HS to get tickets.  Don’t miss this once in a lifetime chance to hear the top military performing big band!
